What Should Be Noted When Using SF Double-walled Tanks?

I. Pre-installation inspection and installation specifications
installation, it is necessary to confirm that the strength of the foundation where the tank is placed (such as concrete strength, load-bearing capacity) meets the design standards of the-walled tank to avoid deformation of the tank due to ground subsidence. At the same time, the site should be away from fire sources, heat sources (such as open, high-temperature equipment) and corrosive environments (such as strong acid and strong alkali areas), and outdoor installation should be properly protected from rain and sun (such as sunshades) to prevent long-term ultraviolet radiation from accelerating the aging of the outer tank.
Before installation, it is necessary to check whether the inner tank and outer tank scratches, deformation or welding defects, especially the sealing of the cladding (some double-walled tanks require the cladding to remain in a vacuum or inert gas state). it is a double-walled tank with a monitoring system (such as a leakage detection instrument), it is necessary to test the monitoring device in advance to ensure that it can of leaks in the inner tank in time.
II. Daily operation and use specifications
The material of the inner tank of the double-walled tank (such as steel, fiber reinforced plastic, polyethylene, etc.) needs to be compatible with the storage medium. For example: steel inner tanks are not suitable for strong corrosive liquids (such concentrated hydrochloric acid), and polyethylene inner tanks need to avoid storing high-temperature media (usually not exceeding 60℃). Before use, be sure check the chemical properties of the medium (acidity and alkalinity, temperature, volatility), and it is forbidden to store beyond the range.
When filling the medium, it necessary to follow the principle of "leaving room for manoeuvre", usually the filling volume should not exceed 90% of the total volume of the tank, for volatile media (such as gasoline, solvents), it is necessary to leave expansion space to prevent the pressure in the tank from increasing sharply due to temperature rise, causing the valve to trip or the tank to deform.
For double-walled tanks equipped with pressure gauges and level gauges, it is necessary to regularly observe the readings: for tanks, it is necessary to ensure that the pressure is within the design range (such as usually atmospheric pressure or slightly positive pressure for oil storage tanks), and the pressure valve to be opened in time when over-pressurized; the level should avoid being too low (to prevent the pump body from idling) or too high (exceeding the level). For those with automatic monitoring systems, it is necessary to check daily whether the data transmission is normal to ensure that an alarm can be given in time in case of anomaly.
